Karl Schuler

I am a Swiss citizen, having spent most of the last 24 years in Africa, South America, the Caribbean and Asia, involved in development work in the field of environment and natural resources. For the last two years I have been working for the World Conservation Union (IUCN) in Pakistan with residence in Peshawar. I take photos during my official and private trips in the surroundings where I live and work.

I want my photos to tell stories, to show something from the soul of the region, to celebrate cultural diversity, in the best case to create sensations or emotions by the observers, which go far beyond what can be seen.

In the last three years I have shown my photos in five exhibitions in Nepal, Switzerland and Pakistan.
