Lutz Konermann

An accomplished director and cinematographer of both fiction and documentary, Lutz has been shooting for almost 30 years now. Having learned the craft of black and white at a very early age, he has ever since kept street and travel photography as the "soloist's counterpart" to his more team orientated career as a professional film maker.

Lutz has acquired vast technical and aesthetical experience in both film and digital formats, and uses a wide range of equipment, from classical rangefinders to DSLRs; panoramic cameras to medium format. He is the designer of various photographic accessories and does his own fine art printing, both wet and digital.

With a lifeline linked to numerous countries, Lutz has become a global traveller and a patient observer of the minute territorial and cultural details which transform daily life into fleeting moments of beauty and irony.
